About Me

Miss Church: I was born in Rockford, Illinois and moved to Arizona when I was six years old. It was then that I started my education in the Diocese of Phoenix. However, now, my role in the Diocese is that of an educator. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher when I was a student at St. Theresa’s School for nine years. From there I became a gator at Xavier College Preparatory, followed by 4 years at The University of Arizona. I graduated from the College of Education with a BAE in Elementary Education. After graduating, I had the pleasure of being a first grade teacher for the 6 years at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, in Glendale, AZ. While teaching at OLPH, I studied for my Masters in Education from Arizona State University. My degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language and Literacy. In addition to that accomplishment, I am a Certified Catechist, and have endorsements in Early Education, a Reading Specialist and Structured English Immersion.
