Out of the mouths of babes...
Ryan: "I have a problem."
Miss Church: "Oh, no... what is it?"
Ryan: "Every time I read, my thumb itches!"
"Are we going to be able to keep our homework folders at the end of the year, because I don't want to be a stealer and I really want that folder." - Juan
Katie: "Miss Church, you grew!"
Miss Church: "Oh, it's because I am wearing heels."
Katie: "Wow, that is good trick, you are so tall!"
"Sometimes when I stand like this (hands on her hips, standing stiff and tall), people think I'm a super hero" - Anjalyna
"My fish got handicapped last night. It is like he lost one of his 5 senses. He was gasping for air and can't come to the top to eat his food. So, now we have to sink his food and we moved him to a smaller bowl." - Annie
"I get it... is is like Adam and Eve are a digraph(which are 2 letters that come together to make one sound) because they were the first humans who made the first family."
- Nicholas
If you can imagine, these quotes represent what most of my days are like. It continues to blow my mind when they share their connections with me. Their minds are so open and always searching for a real world understanding, just in their own words and with their cute expression. I am constantly laughing and smiling because of the sweet thoughts that they share with me. Thank you first graders for making me so happy and full of laughs... all day, everyday!
Have a blessed week.... Miss Church

Taking time to get to know each other
Being that we are going to spend the next 9 months together, it is so important that we get to know one another. This class has such respect for one another and loves the time to work together. I am happy to give them that time, as it is always productive and the busy hum in the room warms my heart! There is no doubt in my mind that we are going to have an amazing year together.
Because the days are still warm, sometimes we spend our lunch recess hangin' out with Miss Frizzle watching an exciting Magic School Bus movie
We graph how many people we have in our families!
We share the rosary with Mrs. Hack and Mrs. Chapman's class
Veanna, Abby and Austin follow along on their illustration of the way we say the rosary.
Juan diligently works in his religion book.
Karina is hard at work.
Team 4 chats about God, as our Father!
Gabrielle glances up while working in her Religion book.
I love Austin's illustration of how God holds us in the of his hand.
A little something we were working on for Curriculum night for our parents.
Connor takes a math sprint... wow.. look at him go!
Go Zackary go.... you got this!
Hannah is working on her computation.
Mrs. Moreno helps paint the children's feet so that we can make our foot print picture for our parents.
A class photo that reminds us that we all need to work together to make this world a better place. I could not be more blessed to have 21 angels to work on this goal with me.
