If you can imagine, these quotes represent what most of my days are like. It continues to blow my mind when they share their connections with me. Their minds are so open and always searching for a real world understanding, just in their own words and with their cute expression. I am constantly laughing and smiling because of the sweet thoughts that they share with me. Thank you first graders for making me so happy and full of laughs... all day, everyday!

How inventive! Alyssa can have her snack and keep her ice pack on her ouchie... all at the same time!

Is is Annie's turn on the exercise ball that Miss Church won at the State Fair. These balls rotate around the room as a substitute for their chair.

Juan sits on one too... Shhhh... they don't know it but they are working on their core muscles, practicing balance and this requires a little more attention and coordination! They love it and so do I!

Taking time to get to know each other

Being that we are going to spend the next 9 months together, it is so important that we get to know one another. This class has such respect for one another and loves the time to work together. I am happy to give them that time, as it is always productive and the busy hum in the room warms my heart! There is no doubt in my mind that we are going to have an amazing year together.

Because the days are still warm, sometimes we spend our lunch recess hangin' out with Miss Frizzle watching an exciting Magic School Bus movie
